The 125th Anniversary Celebration

Thank you to all the alumni, active members, and loved ones who attended the 125th celebration! It was a great time and is the largest Founder’s Day we have ever celebrated at the University of Minnesota! We wouldn’t have survived these last 125 years without the support, encouragement, and involvement put forth by countless individuals.

Jimmy V Week (April 10th-14th)

Coming this April, Delta Chi will be starting a brand new philanthropy event! Start getting excited for our Jimmy V Philanthropy week! It will be this spring from April 10th-14th. There will be an event every day of the week (Monday-Friday). This is going to be huge so we want as much participation as possible. Not only will you be contributing to cancer research, you’ll be enjoying yourself too!

Monday: Start of the coin drive that will continue until Friday.This is a great way to start the week off strong by contributing any change you may have laying around!

Tuesday: Timberwolves game vs. Oklahoma City Thunder at 7:00pm. Tickets are $25 for upper bowl and $50 for lower bowl (10% of tickets sold is donated to Jimmy V). **BONUS** the first 50 people to buy a ticket (upper or lower bowl) will get the opportunity to watch the pregame shoot around.

Wednesday: Feed My Starving Children in Chanhassen from 8:00-9:30pm. There are 35 spots available to sign up for but all are welcome, we want to get as many people to help as possible!

Thursday: 5v5 volleyball tournament at the Rec. Teams may consist of up to 6 members (5 on the floor + 1 sub) and it will only cost $20 for each team to register. Bring the noise and cheer for your favorite Delta Chi’s or form your own team to help support such a great cause!

Friday: Come join us for a cookout and porching at Delta Chi. Afterwards, look forward to a performance by local band Stone Arch Isles. This will be a great way to cap off successful week and enjoy the spring weather!

Philanthropy: Lakes And Legends Charity Hockey Tournament

This past weekend (February 3-4) the gentlemen of Delta Chi competed in the third annual charity hockey tournament, which is put on by the Lakes and Legends Foundation. The Lakes and Legends Foundation is a student run organization that donates all proceeds from their events to the UMN Masonic Children’s Hospital in an effort to bring people together and join the fight against pediatric cancer. As a chapter, we raised over $1000 for the cause and brought the noise to Ridder Arena in support of our boys. Special thank you to the all the alumni who played, donated, and cheered us on!
